IAOM, IP takes part in the 58th edition of FACIM - 2023

The Instituto do Algodão e Oleaginos de Moçambique, IP (IAOM, IP) took part in the 58th edition of the Mozambique Agro-Livestock, Commercial and Industrial Fair (FACIM-2023), under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, with the motto: "Industrialization: Innovation and Diversification of the National Economy".
IAOM, IP exhibited the cotton, sisal and oilseed value chains, with an emphasis on the production and processing segments, through the exhibition of products from the local industry, using local raw materials.
Still in the field of the oilseed value chain, the potential for the market in the cooking oil and feed industry was analyzed, looking specifically at soybeans, through an approach presented by Dr. Zeiss Lacerda, president of the Brazilian Soybean Industry Association. Zeiss Lacerda, president of the Mozambican Poultry Industry Association (AMIA), who told us that the current potential for the soya market is approximately 170,000 tons of soya/year for the broiler and egg sectors;
The event took place from August 28 to September 3 in Maputo Province, Marracuene - Ricatla District.
