Soybean Production
In Mozambique, soybean, Glycine max, L. is produced by family and commercial sector producers mainly in the provinces of Manica, Tete, Zambézia and Niassa. Data from the last Agrarian Survey (2020) indicate that soybean production in the country in the 2019/20 agrarian campaign was about 51,700 tons in an area of about 65,800 hectares, data that point to an involvement of about 130,000 producers. For agrarian campaign 2020/21, soybeans recorded a production of about 69,800 tons.
